HISTORY

Bachelors of Austin was founded in 1933 by a group of Austinites who were displeased with the way the Great Depression had "cut into their fun-making." They formed the organization as a way to pool their resources with the sole purpose of throwing parties. Despite some ups and downs in the club's long history, the membership has grown from 32 to over 500 Austin residents.
